Greypvine Contest Entries

2 weeks ago everyone was asked to submit their interpretation of “What do you consider effective?”

Among the lot there are a few great entries and a few…err…interesting entries. But kudos to everyone for giving it a shot! If there is one take-out from this, everyone has a different opinion of what they find effective.

Judging the entries were our very own Raju Alluri & Ali Shabaz. As announced the winners of the competition are:

1. James Li

Below are the rest of the entries that were submitted. Feel free to discuss, applaud or even torment your colleague next to you!

Julija – Don’t lie. Truth nicely told is always effective.

Kathrin – “I would like to submit a quotation of Buddha as my entry for the Greypvine competition.”

A jug fills drop by drop.

Effectiveness is not about pace – it’s about making the right decisions at the right time and eventually arrive at the goal.”

Penelope – “Simple idea. Brilliantly different. Highly effective. Love it.”

Shilpa – “Here comes my interpretation of what I consider effective. Enjoy!”

Paragraph from the song “Society” by Eddie Vedder.

“There’s those thinking, more-or-less, less is more
But if less is more, how you keeping score?
Means for every point you make, your level drops
Kinda like you’re starting from the top
You can’t do that…”

Cheese – “Being effective is creating a deep or vivid impression.”

When the work/person manages to affect their intended audience, they are effective.

Charu – “Kama Sutra”

Effective in conjuring an imagery that cuts across geographies, nationalities , age , class and educational barriers. No matter who, where or what you are the Kama Sutra needs no introduction. It has had the power to generate symbolism that has stood the test of time; drive curiosity across generations ; spark debates ;  inspire architecture; brand a nation and deliver success to saints and directors alike.

If ever there was Effective this sure represents it!

Tom – “Effective” = effin – active,  ie it @#$% works for a living!!”

Mahvash – “Talk about an efficient approach to anything and everything…”
